Wednesday Classes

Wow that was amazing. Classes tonight went so well.
Couple shout outs. We had a dog named Mojo who was afraid of almost every dog. We had him walking around all the dogs in class by then end.
Then Kristen Robinson and Buster. Buster is a scottie who was aggressive. Buster has attended two of my pack interaction classes and my heeling class. By the end of class he was heeling and was able to be cut off leash to play with all the other dogs.
Then we had a beautiful white German Shepherd named Aurora belonging to Shelby. This dog didn't like one of the dogs in class but they were honestly best buds by the end.
Jenny Campbell Pope had Maizy heeling off leash, and had her turning to her starting position of a heel, from a sit where she was facing Jenny and would turn around and go to a heel. Awesome work.
We loved having all the newbies. Welcome to class. We hope you enjoyed it and found it worth your time.
Dayna Cuenca and her dog Lyla were totally heeling by the end of class, as was Danielle Ferrin and her dog Ember
You guys are all great. Thank you for coming.
Enjoy some pics.

Saturday: Down and Stay Competition

Alright the results are in from our down and stay competition. The dogs had to stay in a down, with the owners away from them.
I walked around banging on a pan, then throwing a ball. None of the dogs even budged, which was awesome. Then I walked over the top of them. Shooter broke, but Wash and Kujo had no issues with me doing this.
Then I threw in the ultimate temptation. I threw out beef trachea in front of each dog. None even budged, which was very impressive.
Then I threw out our holy grail. The marrow bone. Out of the three dogs, Kujo, one of my favorite shepherds broke for the bone, leaving Shooter and Wash.
Then I walked over the top again. Shooter broke, leaving Wash the Dane the current and standing Maligator Kennels down and stay champion.
Congrats to everyone and thanks for participating.
Heather Allred and Wash : 1st place - free class.
Kayden Gonzales and Shooter: 2nd place - treat of his choice.
Kami Hurst and Kujo: 3rd place - treat of her choice.

Class Announcement!

Alright everyone. You've waited patiently. For some of you, veteran customer or newbie this will be great news. For others, it won't affect you at all. For those who will one day join us, it should be a good thing. So here's the news.
Maligator Kennels will be bringing our training to a city near you. We are permitted to train dogs anywhere in the state of Utah.
Next week it is planned to hold a class or a series of classes in the Orem/Provo area.
All of you should know we plan on making this a weekly event so look for us coming to your city or a city near you. Yes, each week, we will still hold classes in Spanish Fork. Most of our classes will still be held there
Thanks
Russ

Friday: Resource Guarding

So proud of all the dogs in both classes today. I saw such progress and I couldn't be happier with the dogs and their owners.
Here's a few pictures from resource guarding.
